When it comes to fancy dress costumes there's now an incredible range to choose from. No matter what the occasion, stag do, Halloween party or maybe a birthday you can find fancy dress for every personality and theme. Or you can make your own. The only limits are those of your imagination. Make something as simple or elaborate as you want. No matter how ridiculous or ambitious, to create something fun and crazy you don't have to spend a fortune to make a splash and dazzle your friend with your creation.
Now it might sound hard to dress up convincingly as say the Incredible Hulk or Papa Smurf, but stop and think about if. For these fancy dress costumes, you don't need much more than some body paint and a few bits of clothing. Easy. As long as you don't mind washing all that stuff off afterwards that is.
Togas are fun and easy to carry off. Make sure you get the whole fancy dress outfit right though. No point in dressing like a Roman only to have trainers on under your robes. Get some sandals. Your dad might have some!
Whatever costume you choose, a little extra effort with make up and accessories can make all the difference. After all a zombie without pasty skin or a vampire without fangs and a cape just won't cut it.
Futuristic outfits are always fun. Lots of people love sci-fi films and love to come dressed as their favourite characters. Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr Who, the possibilities are endless. Might be tough making your own Dalek outfit, but you never know until you try.
If you have a party to attend, don't leave sorting out your costume until the last minute. You'll only end up rushing and grabbing the last outfit in the shop, whether it's appropriate and on theme or not. Do some research online, check with friends to see if they have any outfits or clothing you can borrow.
