December 7, 1941. This date was burned forever in the memory of a whole generation, and more than 65 years later it still holds as a the most infamous dates in American history.
It was the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and a day that changed the world forever. Just before 8:00 that morning, a group of Japanese aircraft were unsuspecting naval base. They arrived without warning, and without a statement formal war.
As American warplanes based coasted on, they released a fury of firepower that quickly sank half of battleships located at Pearl Harbor. The attack was short, but very effective. Zero Japanese bomber planes were lightning fast and heavily armed.
America has lost more than 2000 people brutal attack. Over 1,200 were injured. The attack consisted of two separate groups the Japanese bombers that damaged or destroyed a large number of American ships, aircraft and equipment.
This attack was aimed at to discourage America from declaring war against the Japanese empire. It had the opposite effect. Even though Pearl Harbor is a warning message U.S. to ignore the aggressive behavior of Japan, Germany and Italy, the event gathered people together and motivate all country involved.
Japan attack U.S. forces weakened, but strengthened their resolve. President Franklin Delanoe Roosevelt declared that December 7 will be a day that will live in infamy, and Congress declared war on the Japanese Empire. The soldiers heard our call and prepared for battle.
On 11 December, Japanese allies Germany and Italy declared war on the United States. The U.S. absorbed directly World War II. Within four years of war will come to an end, with Japanese and other Axis powers surrender. America emerged victorious.
