The benefits of reading are different, as there are kinds of books available today. Besides being a basic requirement for completed in the early years of schooling, the benefits of reading are many.
The ability to read comes with the ability to understand and understand the world around us. Remember that list have been required reading in school? At that time it may have seemed less important to your development, but in fact it was one of the most important aspects of education your first.
Ability to learn new things and extract meaning from words on paper to keep our brains agile, young and healthy. As the story opens between the covers of a book, our imaginations are engaged and we are ready to be transported for a completely different world.
If you enjoy fiction, non-fiction, classic literature or popular literature, there is no denying that some of the greatest authors of the world have had some sort of influence on your favorite author.
Here is a short list of some of the greatest authors of all time, in no particular order:
Count Leo Tolstoy - Anna Karenina and War and peace are by far the greatest works of Tolstoy. And even just these two books he will be considered as a great author, but he went on to pen other great works, too. These books paint a vivid portrait 19th-century Russian life and attitudes. Tolstoy also wrote essays and plays. War and Peace it is generally considered the best novel of all time.
Fyodor Dostoyevsky - There's just something about Russian writers of the 19th century -. Dostoyevsky's Crime Epic and Punishment Brothers Karamazov and deal with spiritual and political problems of the 19th century - Russia. Dostoyevsky is often considered psychologist Good writing, like his novels explore the human condition and human psychology of the times of his novels.
William Shakespeare - Perhaps one of the most famous names in literature major, is the pseudonym William Shakespeare Bard (Bard of Avon or) for his poetry beautiful and world-famous works of drama. In fact, during his time he was considered a genius and his plays were sought after some of the most elite of Europe. In fact, the Victorians liked Shakespeare so much time of their worship was described by George Bernard Shaw as "bardolatry." Today, his works have been translated into every major living language. Some of his works the most famous drama Romeo and Juliet are, Dream of a Midsummer Night, Hamlet, and Julius Caesar. Although he was supposed to borrow a lot of ideas its from other authors, he was the first author to collect a large amount of writing and producing some of the best poetry, prose, drama and the world has ever seen.
Charles Dickens - This author is probably one of the most humorous if not loved authors of all time. His books paint vivid characters and his characters are beloved, relatable and timeless. Who I do not know the names Oliver Twist, David Copperfield or Pip (from his book Great Expectations). His characters have gained iconic popularity of his novels enough have not gone out of print.
