Lisbon, Portugal - Acoustic / pop singer Ana Free has achieved great success with its YouTube channel with over 16 million views and more than 50,000 subscribers to date.
Ana has captivated an international audience of followers with its pleasant sound and impressive guitar skills. her youtube video is a mix of pop and acoustic covers, including original material. Ana's music tinkerbell published in 'Disney's' and MTV Portugal. It will be the start of a five track EP this coming February and is also recording its first album in the UK after its success last three single releases.

What effect does Youtube have in your career?
The Internet has had a very stable and positive effect on my musical career, because that's where it all began for me. YouTube was the first website I ever my covers and material posted on it, and I still use it as my main platform. MySpace My website, Facebook and Twitter all have been very complementary to my YouTube presence, because they allow fans to access information on a daily basis about what I'm doing in my career where I am, tour dates and events, etc. send free mp3s for my fans to email my mailing list, and try to get as much personal messages possible on other platforms.
The great thing about Youtube has been that I can post whatever I want, including things like random outtakes, behind the scenes, interviews, and concert video. I still do all my own video editing and my friends do most of the filming, nothing has really changed that my career took off. I love the freedom to share the journey with people, because I think that process is what makes it in particular. I use channels to communicate with my fans are very effective and make relationships to my much more personal and useful.
What is the music scene like in Portugal?
I feel Portuguese music market has seen a lot of diversity in the last 10 years. There was an emphasis on artists Portuguese writing and singing in Portuguese only, and I feel that the concept is gradually disappearing, particularly with the introduction of struggling young artists to reach an international English-speaking market. I love playing in Portugal, it is my home country and I feel that I can easily connect with people there. I love the culture and pace. Portugal's music scene gains more momentum in the spring / months summer, when there are a variety of festivals and many international groups to play these scenes. It's definitely more fun be a part of the generational change the music scene in Portugal!
Which have inspired artists and if you've had elections, which will tour with you?
I grew up listening to many different genres of music. As a child I would listen to Sam Cooke, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Mama and Papa, and Beach Boys. Then I hooked in the 90's rock groups and began to look classical as Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette. I used to "borrow" from their album rooms of my older brother. Nowadays I'm really inspired by a variety of artists and genres, as Hiphop, soul, ambient and a little French, Greek and Spanish music! I have a lot of artists I love in this moment, Colbie including Callait, Lady Gaga, Tiago Iorc and Shakira. I feel a special attraction with John Mayer's music, and I would definitely tour with!
Did you watch the Grammys, and if so, who will vote this year?
I'm actually a fan shows great price - I like watching them, but I almost never catch them on TV. I end up scouting the Internet for videos of people you posted! I've never seen a show all Grammy award, because I grew up in Portugal, and programs are usually shown directly in the middle of the night because of time differences! I watched again the following day. I will Lady Gaga vote for Album of the Year and Song of Use for One Year Due to large volume covers that are made after he was released!
What is it that you are looking to do in the future with your music?
I I have many plans for my life in general! I aim to make decisions and sustainable solutions, good for fans and me. I have a wonderful team working with me to ensure that everything is on track. I've just started this yearand official website recorded a five-track EP which will begin in February. Debut album is scheduled to be out this year and I'll be touring all my projects! The main priority is to have fun with everything I do learn new things and continue to grow!
