then who would play spidey since tobey would have to play the the scarlet spider.
The clone saga was not well recieved by a good number of fans, mainly because it resurrected a storyline that ended with a perfectly satisfactory conclusion.
Remember that the original Spidey clone was brought about by the Jackal, aka Miles Warren, in an effort to bring Gwen Stacy back from the dead and to get revenge against Spider-Man. Many readers felt that Spiderman needed to move on, since it had been several years since Gwen died. Writers were clinging too hard to that one event to define Spidey, similar to the way Ben's death had done so in the beginning.
